I actually don't RSS most of the blogs I visit 'cause it's more fun to go to them and check. I've been following you on Twitter and you didn't mention all this shit. All of this is to say, get better and I'm glad you're diggin' your job.

I still haven't re-read chapter four, so I've got no worries.

Hey, say no more! You are obviously in need of some encouragement, but truth is what you'll get.

You've always been on my RSS feeds and will remain so, no matter what. I pity the fool who doesn't understand that you're doing this because you like it, that it's not a job or a task to tick off and move on, and that it's not on any weekly or monthly schedule. And of course that you are giving us all that when you're not busy living out there. Or dying, as might be the case:)

Seriously though, I'm sorry to hear about the problems with your health. Speedy recovery, nothing else.

And don't worry about us: some of us may actually have some kind of life out there ("OMG! Is that even possible?!"), and maybe we fell behind on the City of Pillars, and maybe we can catch up in the meantime. You know, I'm just saying.

Take you time and don't give up, not on the Footnotes and especially not on anything in your life right now. Wait it out, the wheel is turning as we write.

And, by the Gods, we'll be here when you're ready! So say we all!

Hi Derek,

I'm really sorry to hear about your ailments and the troubles you've been having. I hope you're able to work it all out and I wish you the best. You're an immense talent, but when life deals you a hand like this you've got to focus on making due with it and sometimes that means putting things on the back burner. My thought are with you.
